Food supplement. Dr.AD Smart Folic Acid is a supplementary source of folic acid. Supplementary folic acid intake increases folate levels in the mother’s body. Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the developing foetus1,2.

1 The product is intended for women of childbearing age. The beneficial effect is achieved by supplementing with 400 µg folic acid per day for at least one month before conception and for at least three months after conception.

2 The development of neural tube defects can be caused by a number of risk factors and their modification may or may not have beneficial effects.

The product is manufactured under the Lotos Pharma GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) quality system. Free from genetically modified organisms (GMOs), lactose, gluten and other allergens.

Ingredients: inulin (fibre), bovine gelatine (capsule shell), magnesium salts of fatty acids (anti-caking agent), iron oxides and hydroxides (capsule shell colour), folic acid (pteroylmonoglutamic acid).

Direction for use: oral administration of 1 capsule once daily is recommended for women of childbearing age.

Warnings: do not use if hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the ingredients; do not use as a replacement for a complete and balanced diet; do not exceed the recommended daily dose; keep out of the sight and reach of children!

Store at room temperature, in a dark place, in the original, carefully closed container.
